This is my Fairy inspired portrait titled Silence. In this piece, I decided to take the style of Shepard Fairy along with my own style and incorporate it into my very own portrait. As you can see I only used 5 colors in the entire portrait: Green, Red, Yellow, Black, and White. I used Shepard Fairys style of linework that divides the portrait up into many various colors. My own style comes into play with the censored bar over my mouth. I added this because I feel as if the viewer can take multiple messages from that part of the piece. I like leaving the viewer with many questions upon seeing my pieces. I believe that this piece was very successful because of the vibrancy of the colors, as well as the combinations of styles.
