This is my shoe repetition piece titled Confusion. This was definitely my favorite piece to work on and I had the most fun with this one. I’m a huge fan of abstract art and art that is sort of all over the place. When it comes to this work of art I used multiple tools; the pen tool (for the shoe), the paint bucket, the flare tool, layering, and the liquify tool. Now, this project was a two step process, first I had to create the shoe itself, and then I was able to create the repetition effect. I liked to add my little touch with the liquify tool. I am a huge fan of the painting “The Persistence of Memory” by Salvador Dali. In his painting you can see that the clocks appear to be melting, and I tried my best to duplicate that effect in this piece. I belive that this piece was so successful considering the inspiration from Salvador Dali and how much work went into this piece.
